 What to do in Pokhara?



Pokhara offers an immense range of adventure upon it's natural and geographical beauties and trekking can take you to a different level here. What to see in Pokhara?


The second largest lake in Nepal measuring 1.5 kmx4 km, is the centure of attraction in Pokhara.




These lakes among with other five smaller lakes lie in Lekhanath Municipality,popular known as Garden City of seven lakes,about 15 km east from Pokhara.



Located in the small island in the middle of Phewa lake just offshore from the Lakeside ,Barahi Temple is just another tranquil place to be in.


It is located on the top of a small hill at the north end of Old Bazzar.It is believed to be one of the oldest temple in the valley.




It is a huge Buddhist stupa situated on a hill top just above the phewa lake. A symbol of peace where the idols of lord Buddha from Japan,Srilanka and Thailand have been installed.


A very popular destination ,near by Pokhara valley in the north is a hill called Sarangkot.It is famous for its spacticular panaromic views of entire valley,mountain range of north and beautiful Sunrise and Sunset.



mysterious wonder of Pokhara, Seti Gorge is especial in the sense that river Seti flows 40 metre below the earth surfaces and can be seen in few places like K.I.singh bridge,Mahendra pool,Ramghat and Prithivi chowk.

Also known as natural history museum this is located at Prithvi Narayan Campus east of the Old Bazzar.The museum has an exceptional collection of Butterflies,insects,bird and models of wildlife as well as samples of various precious stones and Volcanic rocks.



Reminding the reminiscence of the brave Gorkha soldires who participated in world war I and II,Gorkha memorial museum has been established in the premises of the British camp.




The museum is situated just 1.5 km south from the Pokhara Airport.The spot is rightly selected as we can enjoy the unique view of 3 massive mountain peaks, Dhaulagiri,Annapurna and Manaslu.The museum provides information regarding mountaineering ,the world mountain system, mountain culture,environments etc.





Devi's Fall is a Fascinating water fall located 2 Km South of POkhara Airport on the siddhartha Highway. The River, coming from Phwea Lake disappears deep underground, travelling for 1Km before gushing out at Devis Falls. The Name "Devi" is apparently corrupted from David, who was swet away himself or lost his wife in the falls.


Gupteswar Cave

This is a recent finding and excavation revealing its link to Devi's fall.It is another magnificent form of raw natural beauty of Pokhara.

Tibetan refugees have been living in various Tibetan villages since 1959. One of such villages is Tashiling Tibetan Refugee settlement at Chhorepatan,which is located near two popular sightseeing sites i.e. Devi's fall and Gupteswar cave.
